DESCRIPTION:\nSponsored by: Virginia Department of Game & Inland Fisheries
and Virginia Society of Ornithology\n\n Next weekend marks the start for
  the 2010 Rusty Blackbird Winter\n Blitz\, a citizen-science effort to d
ocument locations of this\n rapidly declining species across its winteri
ng range. The Blitz\n will take place 30 January until 15 February 2010.
During this\n time volunteers will search for Rusty Blackbirds in likel
y\n habitats across Virginia and enter these observations into VA\n eB
ird. These observations are critical in identifying both local\n areas o
f concentration and areas that are not used\, and in\n evaluating the st
ability of these locations over time.\n Participation is easy!\n\n The
Blitz is featured in an article posted on the Virginia eBird\n page (ht
tp://ebird.org/content/va). You can find additional\n information on the
Blitz\, links to protocols and data sheets\,\n and information on the s
